Eurom II, the federation of European associations that group together companies and industries operating in the sector dedicated to optical scientific and laboratory instrumentation, meets at Richmac on 26 November.

Representatives from all company members (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain) will take part in the event, which is created in close collaboration with associations such as ALSSA (Analytical and Life Science Systems Association - USA), G.I.S.I (Associazione Imprese Italiane di Strumentazione - Association of Italian Instrumental Companies) and Jaima (Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers Association) who, together, represent 90% of the worldwide laboratory market.

The agenda includes a series of European-based topics: from the RAEE (Rifiuti di Apparecchiature Elettriche ed Elettroniche - Electrical and Electronic Waste) norm, that of making Eurom II a legal body at European level. The opening of the federation to associations of the sector from eastern European countries, which have requested membership, will also be discussed, as well as proposals for the harmonization of investigation criteria for market studies, which, as of today, are not homogeneous.
